Longitudinal Enrollment Data: Student Level by Fall/Spring Semester

Content: Fall and Spring Enrollment by student Level (Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Post-Bacc, Grad Students)
Diagonal Retention Analysis Chart: Tracks IPEDS cohort student Fall to Fall to show retention, student level progression and graduating numbers. (Chart was prepared originally for the University of Louisiana System Review Team in November 2011.)

Timeframe: Annual
Content: UNO submits Student Credit Hours (SCH) data by college for summer, fall, spring and spring intersession to the La. Board of Regents. Regents calculates the official SCH production for inclusion in Formula Reports which are used to determine budgets during the annual formula funding process. For internal planning purposes, UNO's worksheets show SCH by the department that owns/offers the course.

The Board of Regents' annual report shows how long undergraduates took to earn their first baccalaureate award. UNO's "Time to Degree: 2011-12 " for First-Time Freshmen (both Full- and Part-Time) is 5.8 years. When First-time Freshmen and Transfer (both full-and part-time) are combined, the time to degree is 6.2 years. The detailed report is available on the BOR web.
The Board of Regents Statewide Student Profile System section has data on all Louisiana public higher education institutions. These reports have enrollment information such as age, gender, ethnicity, declared majors, student credit hour production, parish residence,etc. Open a report and locate the UNO section.
