Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Institutional Effectiveness is integrated with strategic planning to provide a top-down and a bottom-up approach. In the top-down process, senior university administrators identify short-term and long-term initiatives that should be addressed university wide. These top-down directives are circulated to all units to be incorporated into all IE plans. In the bottom-up process, the IE Committee evaluates plans to determine whether funding is involved and identifies items for budget consideration. Phase Two focuses on reviewing the end-of-year IE assessment reports. In this phase, a program or office measures itself and assesses its progress towards reaching its stated goals and objectives. IE Plans and Assessment reports are stored in SharePoint Institutional Effectiveness Committee. Your faculty/staff password is required for SharePoint. Phase Three includes the review by the IE Committee of the assessments and proposed new plans with a summary report to the Provost. 2011-2012 Cycle
