National Center for Education Statistics - Collects and analyzes education data, K-12 through Postsecondary. Useful tools are:

Regional

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges - The regional accrediting body for higher education institutions in Southern states.

Southern Regional Education Board - Works with 16 member states to improve public pre-k-12 and higher education. Several studies are linked below.

Louisiana

UNO is part of the University of Louisiana System - On July 12, 2011, the Governor signed ACT 419 legislation to move UNO from the LSU System into the University of Louisiana System. On December 6, 2011 the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools-Commission on Colleges, gave final approval for the University of New Orleans to join the University of Louisiana System.  This action concludes the five-month transition of UNO from the LSU System since Act 419 of the 2011 Louisiana Legislative Regular Session was signed into law in July.

Louisiana Board of Regents (BOR) - Constitutional authority and budgetary responsibility for the state's public higher education institutions. GRAD Act section contains public documents from each institution. Statewide data collections and reports are available from Data and Publications.

Louisiana Department of Education - Data and Reports section has statistical information such as K-12 data and school performance cards, student populations by districts, parishes and individual schools, College Readiness (ACT results, First-Time College Freshmen showing which high schools provide students to UNO)
